Journey with us as we take our first steps into the publishing world. Our first book in the River Oaks Series is entitled, Molly Takes the Cake. We are more than excited to share our adventure with all of you.
Joanie and I have been in love with writing since we were children. Our father, Chuck Taylor--the family story teller--used to tell us stories that he would make up off the top of his head every day. The creativity that our dad had was amazing! He instilled the love of story telling into us and we are forever grateful. My sister Joanie and I followed in his footsteps and continuously told stories and tall tales to our children right from the beginning. It was wonderful to hear them say, "Tell me a story," just as we had always done with our father.
We have, at this point, six books in the works for the River Oaks Series. Who knows, maybe there will be more. Joanie and I depend on God to give us new ideas each time we sit down to write. It is amazing how He can just make the words flow. We give Him all the glory for everything we write.
My sister and I truly love to laugh and hope we can pass some laughter on to all of our readers. Though we want our books to be fun and enjoyable to read, we intend to shed some light on a variety of topics from depression, to pride, to hoarding, and a lot of other interesting hot topics of today.
We are currently in the process of publishing with iUniverse.com. After innumerable edits, we finally submitted our manuscript last week and are anxiously awaiting having books in hand in approximately 6 months. We are so glad to have the publishing in progress, and hope you will come along with us as we make our way through the beginning of The River Oaks Series with Molly Takes the Cake.
